It originated with Buddhist monks making beautiful, thoughtful arrangements as temple offerings and has evolved into a modern art used to celebrate an array of momentous occasions…like weddings. Ikebana arrangements are characterized by their natural forms and minimalist selections.

Each stem is featured prominently and there is hardly any “filler” like in modern Western arrangements. The result is a delicate, gravity-defying linear composition with plenty of negative space that adds a touch of whimsy to any occasion. The movie and the gown start out picture-perfect. The beautiful off-the-shoulder princess sleeves, voluminous tulle skirt, and beautifully draped corset bodice are very much giving their viral “Bellina” dress that’s graced the pages of Wedding Chicks many times before. Apparently, Galia Lahav meticulously constructed and created 28 versions of the same dress in just 1 month. They had to use special techniques so that it could be ripped and transformed into the sexy action-packed end look that you see here.
